If he teams up with Paul somehow, this could cause some discomfort for McCain...might even get some people from the Dems as well. Interesting.

EDIT: Edit to clarify Bob Barr, not Roseanne.

I'm surprised at a hardnosed conservative like Barr taking away votes from a guy who will need every vote he can get for conservatives to squeeze out another turd...urrr term

I don't know anything about Bob Barr but I will give serious consideration to whomever the Libertarian party nominates.

To be a conservative, he would have to be in favor of a smaller government and less government spending. He voted in favor of the Iraq invasion and still supports it. That will cost the US tax payers half a trillion dollars that we didn't have. That means the printing presses will run and our money is worth less..hence oil is more expensive.

Ron Paul is a conservative..he understands that. John McCain is not a conservative and has no concept of how wrong he is.

NOUN:

The act of invading, especially the entrance of an armed force into a territory to conquer.

did we send an armed force into Iraq for the purpose of defeating and removing their government? If we did, then it was an invasion by definition.

Ron Paul doesn't put on faces. He is consistent in his beliefs and his voting record in Congress proves that

Way to feed into the MSM bullshit Mark. Did you hear he wants to stay there 100 years?

McCain and I have fundamental differences in how we see the role of the US in the world. He wants us to be the worlds policeman and use our armed forces to get rid of dictators and tyrants. I say that unless those dictators or tyrants are a direct threat to US lives or property, they are none of our business. His way of thinking is what got us into Vietnam and resulted in him spending 5 years as a pow. You would think he would have learned better.

So because you disagree with him on one or two issue you think he isn't a conservative?

The role of the US in interfering in the affairs of nations where it is none of our business is a central issue where we disagree. There are plenty of others. He was all in favor of granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in this country a year ago. He says he isn't now, but what does he really think? How do we know?

When Ron Paul asked him a question on his experience in economic matters, McCain gave his experience as being a member of the Senate. That was a very revealing response as to how McCain thinks. He believes government is the answer to everything.
