OK so this stupid lady posts this cartoon in a neuroscience group on myspace.

She does this in all the myspace groups that have anything to do with science. Her fanaticism is annoying.

That got me thinking how I hate fanatics. Including fanatics of my cause. Atheist fanatics. Final Fantasy fanboys.


Here's some advice. You can like things or hold a certain position without going crazy and trying to convince everyone to be clones of you. Not everyone has to like my music. They can like shitty rap.

some fanatics are more acceptable than others. obviously the supernatural/religious fanatics are far less acceptable because they deal with hocus pocus and imaginary worlds. the fanatics that deal with facts and theories which are open to question are far more sensible. rational, i suppose.

Well yeah nothing's wrong with some history buff. Someone who can ramble off a bunch of facts about the Civil War is fine I guess.

But if they think their subjective perspective on why the North won is the only right one is when it gets annoying.

Some things are obviously debatable.

Do we have Neanderthal DNA mixed with ours? Good question.

"I'm gonna post this cartoon and carry on Ben Stein's retarded crusade" is shit though.

cartoons like that say the following:

"I don't understand what this subject is about because i'm ignorant and I prefer my story anyway."

hocus pocus lovers might say that the above thought process is not the sole preserve of religious folk but also apparent amongst the unbelievers. but that's just loltastically ridiculous.

Oh great googly moogly's ghost...that was hard to read...the bright colours and terrible artwork...anyway there is a bit of underlining truth there, feed people BS and someone will believe it.
