I've been eating healthier lately, and I've dropped about 15 pounds in the last 3-4 weeks. The only problem is that I have very rare bowel movements.

I poop every 2-3 days, and they are very hard and dense. I have been guessing that it is because I've been consuming fewer calaries, but I don't know. Is this healthy? Suggestions?

i go twice a day man i eat 50 grams of fiber a day. u should be going minimum of once a day bro

so, increase my fiber? I usually get a fair amount, but thats not something I normally calculate when I look at my caloric intake

That's not entirely true bro...he's a young guy and if he's getting enough fiber he probably should be going once a day, but it doesn't mean there's something wrong with you if you're not shitting everyday. That's mostly an old people problem but many people abuse laxatives over that belief that they have to go everyday. Increasing your daily exercise should help stimulate your bowels as well.

Chicks are like that as well....some of them hardly ever shit....it's fucking crazy....

if i don't shit at least once a day i'm feeling pretty stopped up. you probably need to get in some more fiber.. but increase your fiber intake gradually or it will have the opposite effect. you can also try supplementing with psyllium husk powder.. that will bulk stuff up.. make sure to increase your water intake with it

you drinking enough water?

fiber is key man. example: sometimes when i break on the weekend and dont eat much fiber i still go once a day. when monday comes and i up my fiber intake its amazing how much comes out that is held up by not getting enough fiber. just trying to help.

who told u that chicks dont shit?? i go at least once a day and when i can go more, i am happy as hell. I'd go insane if i shat only every 2-3 days.


I run a supplements store and women are almost too open about their health issues, some of this shit I just don't need to know, women really seem to love talking about what's wrong with them....maybe you thought I was generalizing, it's not all women, it's just more common than in men.

As stated, you have to eat more fiber.

If you're eating les than 25g/day, then thats not enough.

Try to aim for 40-50g/day

Eat some Bran Buds and take Psyllium Husk tablets. That'll get you regular in no time.

I had my gallbladder removed in Dec. and my digestive tract was so messed up afterward. I had issues for a couple months and came across the suggestion I just gave.
