Their scoring system is "WISDOM"

W = "Wanton Violence/Crime" (which I find odd cause the Bible is extremely violent)
I = "Impudence/Hate"
S = "Sex/Homosexuality"
D = "Drugs/Alcohol"
O = "Offense to God" (the funniest section in my opinion. Movies like Harry Potter score bad here)
M = "Murder/Suicide"

Interesting. The only one with a perfect WISDOM score is "Who Gets the House" and has Elisha Cuthbert.

If you ask me that movie would cause me to lust.

Yummy. Oh God she's fucking hot.


American Psycho and Sin City had zero scores but those movies were awesome.

I think they wanted the Golden Compass Boycotted or something or other.

I've been watching the previews and IDGI. It has nothng to do with religion.

The review of Brokeback Mountain reminds me of what the KKK says about blacks.

i saw this movie, and i liked it, too. i hope they finish the series. but it most certainly was a slap in the face of religion.

the magistrate was symbolic of the church, which presumably seeks to control thought and limit "free thinking". in battling the magistrate, the free-thinkers are joined by the gyptians (an obvious allusion to Egyptians, who were opposed to christianity and tried to prevent moses from indoctrinating people into christianity). likewise, demons are opposed to angels, and the magistrate sought to separate (read "exorcise") the daemons from the children.

"the golden compass" was full of religious and anti-religious symbolism and themes.

~ I think the idea is that common sense parental supervision, Biblical Scholars and the ministry of the Holy Spirit will tell you that the Bible's 'violence' is meant to be reported as a newspaper would, not a program to follow like the peaceful life of Christ
