so this morning was the commencement ceremony for the school I used to work for. a bunch of my students--meaning students that I had worked closely with and got to know pretty well--were graduating, so I decided to go. saw my kids, talked with a lot of them, congratulated them, and it felt good. seeing my students walking across the stage and getting their degrees, seeing the final reward for the work that they put in for the past two years, I was proud of them. And I was proud that I was able to have some small part in helping them achieve that success. There's nothing else that feels quite like that. That is why I do what I do and why I enjoy it so much.
ok, sappy rave over. post some congratulatory boobs.

didn't fancy dressing up like a ponce. it's not like they can take a degree away from you for it.

My college graduation was quite nice. The weather was perfect...sunny and warm, and it was held outdoors in the football stadium. The stadium at Platteville is up on a grassy hill overlooking the campus and rural countryside. A very picturesque setting.
