its tax free, but i pay some sort of taxes when i file when i get stateside, im not sure on the specifics yet, but not as bad as federal income tax.

the pay goes like this, as an initial employee of BW, u have to serve 9 months on the ground in Iraq, so the contract is a 12 month period. normal rotations go like this: 3 months on, 1 off, 3 months on, 1 off, 3 months on, 1 off = 12 months total
for those 3 month periods, u get paid 500 dollars a day, every single day, even on days off.
if you choose to NOT go home in any of those 1 month leave designated periods, you get paid 700 dollars a day. so for a month you can make 21,000.

the first year is almost like an initiation period. following your first tour, u can go home, and if you want an assignment in the future, you just call up and see whats open. you have 100 percent choice of where you want to go. They have as little as 1 month tours, called fillers. in dozens of countries around the world.

sounds pretty good...at least you don't have to worry about any stop-loss backdoor draft shit...if you get fed up with it you can just quit like any job right?

i honestly dont know what they would do to u if u quit, i know u can, but itll look horrible, it falls under the state department as employment, so it might ruin any chances of any government work

Glock 18C -- Full Auto..
One of the more popular weapons in Iraq, for those that can afford it, is the Glock 18 9mm pistol. This one looks just like the widely used Glock 17 pistol, but with one major difference, the Glock 18 can fire full auto (1200 rounds a minute). Since the Glock 18 magazine only holds 17 rounds, this means you can empty it in less than second. However, you can also fire two or three short bursts instead, once you get used to firing a fully automatic pistol. A selector switch on the pistol allows you to switch between standard semi auto, and full auto. There is also a special 33 round magazine for the Glock 18. Loaded with a standard 17 round magazine, the Glock 18 weighs about two pounds. The pistol is 7.3 inches long, with a 4.5 inch barrel. The current model, Glock 18C was developed in the late 1990s, for military and police use. An earlier version, introduced in 1986, had a lower rate of fire (350 rounds a minute).
