The true whiteout was found in Winnipeg.

~ a lot of American Hockey Tradition was born in Canada, but the sport itself belongs to many-a-country

no but what i'm saying is ichiro can't just throw on ap air of skates and skate off.... a hockey player can grab a bat hit a ball and throw a ball... not all maybe but most everyone can touch a bat to the ball and throw a ball with somewhat decent accuracy. I'd love to see a jap on skates outside the winter Olympics

i guaruntee ichiro is pound for pound stronger than anybody in the NHL. plus i'd put a months wages on the fact that he can run faster, longer- and throw harder and further than anybody in the NHL. i'm not saying boys in the NHL arent atheletic, they just couldnt hold a candle to my beloved ichiro.

Just because someone would get killed doing something their body is not built to do doesn't make it any less of a sport.

A cross country runner is way more of an athlete than a body builder, but I don't expect the cross country runner to be able to squat 600 lbs.

holy ridiculous logic Batman! I like how you are using the example of one exceptionally fast player only, maybe even the fastest in the MLB. And I bet some players in the NHL could give him a serious run for his money in any running competition. Maybe he can run for longer because NHL players train to go all out and give 100% in 45 seconds to 1 minute bursts; whereas MLB players can stand around for 10-15 minutes without doing anything and the only time they seem to ever run is when they hit the ball or the ball is hit towards them. There's a reason why MLB players can play 162 games and play almost every single day, it is a less energy draining sport compared to hockey or football or basktball. Obviously he can throw harder and further than an NHL player since that is his job, just like an NHL player could shoot a puck a lot harder and more accurately than an MLB player. You are clearly extremely clouded by bias and buttlove for Ichiro to think he is stronger than every NHLer that is of comparable size.

~ Baseball players play in the cold and heat/humidity of open-air stadiums. Rare is the NHL game that is outside - most all of the contests are in temperature-controlled domes. They do not not skate under 100-degree sunlight for three hours. A 165-game schedule is a marathon. The batter and catcher wears the most protective gear while the other eight players on the field have only clothing and a glove to protect them. That being said, the contact that NHL-ers absorb is punishing, being slammed against rock-hard ice and walls

There is a reason that baseballs teams can play back to back in one day. Doing that in hockey is unheard of.

~ before the hitters started adding all of this armour to protect themselves from inside pitching(Barry Bonds looked like Transformers with all that padding) it was basically putting your life in the hands of some guy who is going to throw 90+ mph past your head in a brushback game. The hockey goalie EXPECTS the shots to come his way, and to be in the All Star game means being on the receiving end of the best, hardest-fired pucks in the world.

That's what I am saying.....there's a reason these guys can play back to back games. It's a slow ass game that's boring as fuck, takes over 4 hours to play, and 90% of the time people are just standing there.
