Obama has my vote because he and hillary share the same views and ideas on the issues and I think he'll win because I don't think there's big enough republican base left for McCain to squeeze another out but this swing state thing doesn't make me 100% confident

we need to wait and see how this whole thing sorts itself out. Obama has had real trouble in states that the democrats must win in order to carry the electoral college. It's gotten worse after Wright. A state like California for example. That state has gone democrat in every election since Reagan, yet Hillary trounced obama there. The republican presidential candidate generally gets 45% of the vote there. It wouldn't take too much of a voter disillusionment with Obama for that to swing 5% the other way.

all speculation to say he wouldn't win states that she wins. its dem vs dem, dem vs superdem at that. not dem vs pub. quite a different dynamic. in any case, the O campaign has stated many times their map is different than maps in the past, citing 5 or 6 other midwest states they think they have a shot at.

I just dont get how people who would lick ron pauls taint if they saw him IRL, would vote for mccain, who is, lets face it, completely different.
How can people support two candidates who are so different?

the only sad part about the unending scramble for the Dem nomination is that policy has gone completely out the window.

Discussions of how to undo most of the past 8 years? No thanks, we'll beat dead horse of race/gender, do some good ol fashioned muck-raking, tediously follow statistics and predictions about polling that are rarely correct, and generally have a media-feeding frenzy about KA's of both delegates.

Obama really stumbles when he's not "Hoping things up" or defending himself from bizarre media accusations.

HRC has left her strong points (experience and planning) in the dust in order to follow some screwball attack policy and make herself seem more focused-group-friendly to middle america.

Probably to go down fighting. I really don't see her conceding. I actually think she is the better candidate of the two. Obama while obviously inexperienced also seems to fumble big time when he's given a question that he hasn't been scripted to reply to. If he doesn't get over that he will be eaten alive.

Election years are making me more and more cynical every go round. The last time when the Dems put up Kerry I was nearly pulling my hair out thinking *this is the best you can fucking do!!!!* Instead of giving me a reason to vote for the DNC they gave me a reason to either not bother voting at all or voting for Bush.

i see your point.. but kerry would have done alot more for this country than bush..he could have faked it and we would have come out a lot cleaner
